5. Analytics — Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with Swiss Career Check.

Google Analytics may process information such as your device and browser information, approximate location, pages visited, referral source and interactions with the website.

Where required, analytics technologies will only be activated after you have provided the appropriate cookie consent.

6. Advertising — Meta Pixel

We use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

Meta Pixel may allow us and Meta to understand actions taken after viewing or clicking an advertisement, measure conversions, create advertising audiences and improve advertising campaign performance.

Depending on your settings and relationship with Meta, Meta may combine information collected through Meta Pixel with other information it holds.

Advertising and tracking technologies will be managed through our cookie consent mechanism where required.

European Union data-protection and ePrivacy rules require that users receive appropriate information and give their consent before non-essential cookies used for advertising and tracking are placed on their device.

Meta Privacy Policy

7. Email communications

We use your email address to provide the product or service you purchased and to send necessary transactional or service-related communications, including communications about the Diagnostic intake, booking and session.

If you separately choose to receive marketing communications, we may also send you Swiss Career Check updates, information and relevant Swiss job-market content.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link contained in those emails.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications necessary to fulfil or administer a purchase.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Swiss Career Check may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functions — necessary for the website, checkout, security and consent preferences to function.
  • Analytics — helping us understand how the website is used.
  • Advertising — helping measure advertising performance and, where applicable, support advertising audiences and personalised advertising.

You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie consent controls available on the website.

European Union rules distinguish strictly necessary cookies from non-essential cookies and require transparency and user consent for the latter.

9. Service providers and third parties

We may use third-party providers necessary to operate Swiss Career Check, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Cal.com — appointment scheduling for the Diagnostic;
  • Google — website analytics, and Google Meet and calendar-related services used to deliver the Diagnostic;
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement and marketing;
  • Hostinger — website hosting and technical infrastructure;
  • email and communication providers used to deliver transactional or marketing messages.

These providers may process personal data according to their respective roles, contractual arrangements and privacy policies.

10. International data transfers

Some service providers used by Swiss Career Check operate internationally. Your personal data may therefore be processed or stored outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers, such as recognised adequacy mechanisms, contractual safeguards or other legally permitted transfer mechanisms.

For example, Stripe states that it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for relevant transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area.

11. How long we keep your data

Personal data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing purchased products and services, customer support, accounting, tax, legal and security requirements.

Information you submit through the Diagnostic intake, including submitted documents, is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to prepare and provide the Diagnostic and to handle legitimate follow-up or administrative requirements, unless a longer period is required by law.

Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.

Marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe or otherwise withdraw your marketing preference, subject to information that may need to be retained to record that preference.

12. Your rights

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including the right to:

  • request information about personal data we process about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of personal data where applicable;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • opt out of marketing communications.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), individuals have the right to access their personal data, request rectification or erasure, restrict or object to processing and, where applicable, request data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).

To make a privacy request, contact: hello@swisscareercheck.com

13. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technologies or legal obligations change.

The latest version will always be published on this page with the date of the most recent update.
